Traditional Sunday Concerts at the Pavilion in Maribor City Park

The tradition of organizing concerts in Maribor City Park has a rich history. It began in 1890, when a music pavilion was built alongside the popular and well-attended promenade, following the example of many European cities. This marked the start of open-air concerts, which became extremely popular at the turn of the 19th century and represented an important part of social life. This tradition lives on today through Sunday morning concerts.
